Very reluctantly up for sale is my custom hardtail.
Dates from 1999, I have owned this from new (only had light trail use).
Supplied by Merlin, this was essentially a re-branded Diamond Back Axis with a polished frame. Prestige steel so will go on for years.
Has had a couple of guises over the years, more recently has had a bare metal prep and cool custom wrap by West Coast Customs UK.
Has SPIN wheels as pictured, bearings were overhauled by a local bike shop just over a year ago at quite a considerable cost.
Otherwise, mostly XT components, many parts are new.
Retro parts like the Fred Salmon stem and quick releases, together with the Onza HO brakes all new 'old stock'. The brakes cost a pretty penny!
Will pop up a full description a little later when I have a bit more time.
The wheels have Onza porcupine tyres on at the moment and may split these as a separate sale if it means I can keep the bike...
I think £650 is a fair price for this bike.
