1995 Nobilette Custom Lugged MTB

Retobikestand

Dirt Disciple
Wanted to share since not many Mark Nobilette MTBs exist out there online. A few fillet brazed, a few lugged.. This bike is in found condition, right here in Colorado, only a few miles from where he still works in his shop today. To start, Mark is known along the same lines as Tom Ritchey and Chris Chance.. Joe Breeze etc. Mark was the first student in Albert Eisentrauts frame building class in the 1973. Today, Mark builds all the high end Rivendell bike and was one of the first shop member for GT when they were in Colorado in the 90's. He's made bikes for Gary Fisher among others.

The seat tube measures 17” ctc, and top tube is 20” ctc. It was made with Reynolds 853 tubing, first year of 853 to my knowledge. The lugs are hand cut, matching hand made fork and stem, Campagnolo dropouts, and a gorgeous sparkle gold paint job.

Parts as follows:
Wheels: Mavic with White Industries front hub, XT 732 rear hub. Salsa no logo ti skewers.
Headset: Black 1" Chris King NoThreadset
Bars: Ritchey force light, 25.4 clamp, 590mm wide
Shifters: Deore XT M732
Front Derailleur: XTR M901
Rear Derailleur: Deore XT M735 short cage
Brake levers: Deore XT M730 Long blade levers - black
Bottom bracket: Shimano UN72
Cranks: Sugino XD 110 bcd 175mm 46/36/26 rings
Tires: Ritchey Z max
Grips: funky old cork grips

Enjoy the photos! The whole bike or frame/fork/stem will be for sale as it's not my size.. but I just couldn't leave it at the used bike non-profit shop I found it at.
