What size for a shock?

Thats awesome. I just finished 3 sessions at Chequamegon on mine. I put a shock on last summer. The old stumpy held up great.

I bought my 94 stumpjumper with a classic XC 700 fitted by the previous owner. Its starting to leak oil so I want to upgrade it. Can I mount a 1 1/8 inch shock to my stumpy?

I am fond of that Stumpy color. Looks like the kind of bike that would be at a lake house or something.
