Well i was ment to be cycling half of the King Alfreds Way
Due to changing events im now stripping back and cleaning up this project .....
Maybe i can turn it into ridable transport and use this instead ...of my ready to ride 29er
It is rather hot for puffing up hills so plan is to build this up this weekend .
Take this bikepacking next week ..

Ive forgot just how demanding this bike building is ...
Ive been necking protein shakes all day . And just nearly bonked hunting for a lost chainring bolt
That i heard drop but vanished in the void under washing machine...
Drivetrain is all original

Well took longer than expected to piece it back together as ive lost all the feeling in my right hand ...
Great getting old init ...
Going to take it for its first spin today the middle chain ring looks toast so may have to chuck a biopace chainset on
As im right out of spare chainrings ...
The magura hoses are to long so need to address that .

Will i take it on a multiday adventure . No not untill a segmented fork is found with a nice long steerer tube ..
I expect a long wait to find correct one
The Indy Forks which came with the bike just wouldnt be able to handle the excitment ... the elastomers while mostly intact are biodegrading ....
ive just spent a week cleaning it so dont want to get the parts filthy also while looking for other examples of this model ..i realized that while there is a small dint in the downtube... the paintwork is some of the best ive seen .as are some of the original parts ..
So best not have my bike packing bags swinging about scoring the paint .... maybe new decals are needed
