1994 Brodie Sovereign - DeKerf Paintjob

Recently acquired this by way of trade.

1994 Sovereign (18" frame, a size smaller than I normally ride). Ritchey logic tubing with prestige ultimate ultralight stays.

The frame was repainted by Chris DeKerf and hung in a Vancouver shop for years as advertisement for his custom paint jobs, at least so I have been told.

It's a beautiful frame and with my kitchen scales weighs in around 4lbs.

It is by no means done. I need to sort out the fork, maybe a threaded P2 and repaint black. Needs a longer seatpost and definitely a new stem.

It is good enough to ride now, though just around the block so far.

M900 XTR all over.

Great score.

Weird/different color, but great score!

Deserves the full nine build treatment I reckon...

And if you ever want to part with it... ;)

If I had a dollar for every offer on the frame I could sell it and buy another haha

I reckon M900 is full nines but I agree about the ancillary bites. Fork and stem first and foremost. Nearly winter here and the bikes will go away for skiis and snowshoes so I have some time to search.

I think the black fork looks really nice

Hahaha. Yeah, I bet!

And yeah, M900 is PERFECT.

I meant more forks, stem, bars, pedals and bits! Lol.

Can't wait to see how it ends up looking in the spring!

Yeah that's what I thought!

The little bits make the final presentation that much better
