1994-95 GT Zaskar seat post size

I looked around the archive and other places but couldn't find what size seat post the Zaskar needs. I'm thinking of buying one and want to know before I do.

I’ve got several 93/94 and they vary from 26.8 and 27.0.

I was hoping that they had 27.2 because I own many of those, but don't own any 26.8 or 27.0.

I’m amidst a ’93 Zaskar build as well. The 26.6 from my Avalanche donor bike was too small and couldn’t find any consensus on size fron the innerwebs. I used caliprs and measured the seat tube at the opening where the clamp fits and found 26.93. Obviously the only solution was to buy a 26.8 and a 27 to see which fits best. The 27 arrived yesterday it fits flawlessly.

I don't have calipers but I live only 1 block from a bike shop and I'm sure they'd measure it for me for free.

They might even have a parts bin full of seat posts you can experiment with.

96-99 was 27.2

The odd 96 took a 27.0

My 91-94 zaskars took 26.8mm
my 95 zaskar took 27mm
my 95 xizang took 27.2mm
my 96 zaskar took 26.8mm

Thanks to all for replying with your knowledge, I'll just have to buy a frame and measure it afterwards.
