Retro Newbie
First post:

Back in 2020 I purchased this bike from a local retired racer. It had been hanging in his garage for many years. After cleaning it up and riding it a bit I found the Campy 8 speed gearing to be too narrow for my needs so I rebuilt it with an Ultegra 6800 groupset that was on my parts shelf. Rides beautifully and the custom paint and head tube badge are always conversation starters.

Just when you think you may have seen all that a bicycle could possibly have!

That headtube is amazing. I am going to take a guess it is filler built up and shaped. Do you know how it was done?

As I recall, they are ceramic. They were made by a company in Santa Cruz, CA. I talked to Joe Bell about it, he’s pretty sure it was attached with Bondo.
