1993 (?) Giant Cadex carbon fibre frame advice

I picked up a CFM 3 just a couple of months ago off eBay for £20 as it was local pick up only. I plan on fabricating horizontal dropouts for it to run singlespeed like some of the other conversions on here that have been documented. I have alreeady stripped the paint off the carbon to do a clearcoat over but my tubes are only partially that lovely cosmetic weave but hey ho.

Re:

I'd be interested to see how this project is getting along. Does the carbon fibre need to be protected from UV light? I remember reading somewhere (sheldon brown?) that UV light and exposed carbon fibre do not go together well.
Also thought about a SSP-conversion (with a chain tensioner, though).

Re:

Got the frame today. It's a 41 cm/16" frame. Too bad for me (175 cm/5'7)... but at least it's something to work on.
It is a CFM 1 with the aluminum fork. Rather good condition with some minor scratches on the aluminum parts.
Everything is screwed on. It really is a beatiful frame.
