This started out as a frame I bought ages ago.
Sadly the tin worm had been rampant
And it was a toss up to bin it or save it. But being a perennial hater of waste i decided to bite the bullet and have the chainstays replaced - a shame as the paint was otherwise excellent.
Any way off to the frame builder for err quite some time!
there was quite some time between packing it off in May and getting it back the day before Christmas eve!
However it came back shiny and near as new
(apologies for the poor pic - its mid winter and dark and i was just glad to get the damn thing back to build up!)
the time lag allowed me to collect all the parts to make it good again.

a brace of XT parts
A Specialized chain set and some ground controls too
lovely innit
you will note that the chainset is all wrong wrong wrong.
A combination of the chainstays being a tad further out where they are attached to the bb and no chainring crimp meat the 122 axled bb i have for it caused the inner and middle rings to bind badly on the drive side.
I'm currently trying to find a 73/127 BB to fit but may have to give up and fit a 93 lx low profile as i cant justify or afford a Royce to fit.
