The pinky one has different rear drop-outs and XT - higher model? If the blue one is original then the DX/LX mix for mine seems pretty spot on.

my "normal stay" one from 1991 [?] was mostly LX I believe and 'tis a nice bike to ride, seems much better proportions (at least for me) than the marins

Yup, pinky one is the Super XT, top of the range in 1991 IIRC. Was full M735 as the name suggests.

I know this as a lad around our neck of the woods had the same one back in the day, the lucky so and so...

The blue one seems to have LX cranks and mechs, DX(?) cantis, MT62 thumbies and not sure on the brake levers. Wish I had bid on it now, went for 20 quid or so.
