So with the the new “Baby Clockwork” build inbound I thought I’d better get the prestige boxed off.

I’m proper happy with the end result, the riding position feels just perfect and unlike the 2 garage queen esk clockworks this one was built for the sole purpose of being ridden hard !

Can’t wait to use her in anger

She started as an eBay purchase from as it turns out from fellow member MacRetro rider

She arrived as a functioning rider see below pix

She had a few none period bits so she was fully stripped and rebuilt to the following spec

92 19” Prestige frame with Ritchey tubes
Shimano Deore XT Headset
2nd gen Pace RC30’s with black powder coated lowers
Stalk Stem
Pace RC-130 bars
Onza stubby bar ends
Ritchey True WCS Grips
Shimano M730 XT seatpost
Shimano M730 seat qr
Flite Ti 1990 saddle
Shimano XT Thumbshifters M732
Shimano XT Brake levers M733
Shimano XT Cantilever Brakes M734 with XT blocks
Shimano XT Rear Mech M735
Shimano XT Front Mech M732
Shimano XT Crank set 175mm arms M730 with SG rings
Shimano PD-M737 spd pedals
Shimano HG70 7 speed cassette
Shimano HG Chain
NOS Shimano XT shark fin needs fitting ;)
Shimano XT M732 Hubs in black
Shimano XT M730 skewers
Campagnolo Atek Rims
Panaracer Smoke and Dart tyres
Elite bottle cage

Couple of cheeky pics taken just after finishing I’ll post some better when she’s out in the wild

Enjoy :D

Re: 1992 Orange Clockwork

Now thats nice!

Even though its not my size it still makes me want to ride it. Like the black legs on the forks, in fact i cant find anything i dont like really.

Re:

Nice job. I recently found a similar frame on Ebay but I believe yours is more my size. ;-)

Re:

Very nice build. Always liked these and owned one in the past which I sadly sold because it was a little small.

Loving that black theme too. Makes it look very clean.
