Fantastic. You didn't hang about! Both sets of tyres look great, must have cost a bob or two for the butterscotch orange tyres. Are they wildgrippers?. Love the forks too. It deserves a build thread if you get chance.

Didn't cost much - the seller didn't know what they had :)
If you like them - I'm sure I could bear to part with them - as you sold me the frame.

It's finished, again! Frame number two is now finished. Just undecided on the tyres. Picked up some bargain butterscotch Maxxis tyres of the Ebay. Is it Butterscotch or is it green what do you think? The butterscotch are less in your face but the green screams retro to me. I'm sure coloured tyres are a bit like Marmite though.

Loads of people on here have helped again, my sincerest thanks to you all.

I would still, when finance allows, like to get a better saddle and a shorter stem. I have a pair or USE bars waiting to go on but I want to get them re anodised first along with the seatpost. Hasn't had a proper ride yet but it looks so shiny I do't want to get it muddy!

Hi guys

What a great forum - stumbled across it when looking on the web for Orange Aluminium O specs.

My lad has expressed an interest in hitting the trails in Thetford Forest. Thought I had better get something to ride with him :D

Was all over mtbs in the early 90s saving my Saturday job cash for a Specialized Rockhopper Sport, which I had for 5 years. Wanted to find something which I recognised as a decent bike and just got a '92 'O' with a good frame, original forks, and the rest of it is not too clever spec wise.

Great projects on here, but anyone know what the 'O' should have had originally?

Cheers
Andrew

Thanks - time to fire up eBay and get some better kit on it.

Brakes first, they are shocking. Have found some XT, so that will do :)
