Just found this bike here locally. Almost completely original. Much used but that gives it some nice patina. Bitd this was one of my dreambikes.
For those that are not familiar with the brand, one of the sons of the dutch Gaastra family (Batavus bikes) started Koga (combination of Kowallik - his wife, she did the paperwork - and Gaastra). They used Japanese Miyata frames. Picking up this bike I actually passed the factory.
Gaastra also did the introduction of Shimano in The Netherlands.
I believe Gaastra did an internship at Rocky Mountain, so the choice for Syncros parts probably comes from there. Koga used the Syncros parts from 91 - 94, correct me if I'm wrong.
This was the 1992 model, and the first year with the m900 groupset. All parts are original except the seatpost and saddle. The seatpost originally was a Syncros.
Very happy with it.
