I have found the most intriguing aspect of having the magazine is that I can get closer to the photos and see greater detail..

Example being the Non Driveside Stays [which I didn't have a photo/image of at all!] don't appear to have the BULA decals on the Seat~, and the MotoCross Action & OAKLEY decals on the Chain~.. And the [apparently] customary HAIRBALL decal on the Top Tube..

Means I have to get on to Gil to knock up some more Decals though.. :facepalm:

'Fondling the edge' indeed! Excellent project - I think I much prefer this to all those JT-reps that did the rounds a few years back! Reflects the period of crazy invention and fabrication + attitude so well.

Yes, they did have a MTB range from 1984 onwards. The US line up did differ from the European (Koga Miyata) and Japanese line up. This page show many Miyata US catalogs. Unfortunately some MTB pages are missing.
