Stripped down, and begging for a Degrease..

Paint is broken in a few places, but some areas have grime from 1989..

Cleaned.. Sat next to my IF Ti..

Got stuck into it on Saturday, emplying my usual Fout Step Process..

Step 1: Ensure Mrs Roon is busy elsewhere, take command of Kitchen; Degreaser..

Step 2: Economy Setting [Quick & Effective in equal measure] on the Dish / Bike Part Washer..

Step 3: Hand Polishing..

Step 4: Bearing Sets get the Manual Treatment from the start; don't want my Balls getting chucked around the Bosch..

..and I think they always come out better than the Machine anyways

The Headset & BB were in very good condition, virtually no pitting in the cups, and no Rusty Balls.. Worked well with my Non Replacement Policy on this Resto..

That Rear Mech sure came out well after Step 3..

Beautiful! I need to use that dish washer trick, cleaning by hand is way too long

That's an awesome transformation, never used a dishwasher before to clean parts but I'll have to give it a go .
