For sale is my 1984 Ritchey Rocky Mountain
From my research I gather that in the early 80's when Rocky Mountain first started they wanted to place an order with Toyo for their first run of production mountain bikes... but they could not fill the minimum so they joined up with Tom Ritchey and shared an order... Thus this one is dual-branded
This is top of the line from it's day Deer Head Deore XT!
I got it from the original owner and wanted to keep it forever, but due to my massive collection some unicorns just have to be released into the wild...
The original owner said that all he did to the bike was have the hubs swapped to quick release Specialized ones... (hoops and tires are original) he said he did this shortly after buying it because he was tired of the bolt one ones... so they should be period correct.
All I did was replace the grips and add the Ritchey sticker to the handlebars
As for size let me know what you want to measure... but remember this is old school geometry so the typical center to top does not necessarily apply
NOTE: The sharkfin pictured is not included but I may have another spare you can have instead
