If you could find one - a Chris King Devolution headset would be perfect. This fits the 1 1/4" head tube but allows you to use 1 1/8" threaded steerer forks. Your quill stem would also be a 1 1/8" size. A 1 1/4" quill stem won't fit into a 1 1/8" steerer because of the internal diameter...
