    Thanks a lot Rob! I think the forks I have now have an axle to crown length of around 430mm (though I'd have to remeasure it to be sure) and are so stiff I doubt there is even 5- 10 mm of sag. Since the bike's main focus would be city use and light XC I'll be ok with the geometry as it is now...
