Anyone remember/had/used one of these?

I've had one in the bottom of my Pace forks on my Orange since it was given away with MBUK.

Did Pete ever manufacture these to sell? I know that people complained that water was supposedly getting trapped inside but I never noticed it myself. Just smear a bit of grease inside the fork crown (easy with the Pace) and pop it in. In fact, the inside of my steerer is cleaner than the outside.... Interesting Jo Burt script on it as well.

I remember getting one of these from MBUK too.
Nowadays I mostly find that a fine Champagne cork works well and looks great. It caps any build off with a crisp, light, toasty finish.

It was easy to stop water accumulating, just stab holes through the thing with a compass point from the inside, the resultant hole seemed able to drain, but not let water in, well if it did, it drained out again. But then as I was restoring a land-rover at the time, my then frame got some waxoyl injected into the holes, mud don't stick to waxoyl.
