The (rather special..!) frame for this is inbound.. and looking at the tracking.. will hopefully will be arriving tomorrow..!

Have spent the last few days sorting / cleaning / ordering the parts for it.. and they're all pretty much ready to go now.. 8)

this won't be a full retro build.. Rather built of parts i like.. (some old.. some modern...) that work for me.. :) so if you are a retro purist... you should probably avert your eyes now!

Rigid Singlespeed To start with... probably a suspension fork and some gears down the line for when it gets taken on some longer rides in them there hills (once the lockdown is over..) a few nicer components will be added too once i source them.. (posher Seatpost.. probably some black race face cranks)

anyway... here we go..

Its Arrived....!!

Has a few patches of 'chainsuck' type marks on the chain stay.. and 'tyre rub' on the seat stays.. but i will tidy those up as best i can with some primer / touch up paint a bit further down the line once i have ridden it a bit..

I was planning on treating the inside of the frame with some Dinitrol as well to protect it a little more, so that will get done at the same time.. :)

Bikes been built.. and taken on a test ride.. :)

only a short ride.. but it rides great... feels really nimble and light! guess it should really at 20.5Lb!

needs a few tweaks though still.. need to find a higher rise and slightly narrower bar.. like the one on my rockhopper..
I have lost the half link i had for this chain too.. so its currently way too long.. that will be fixed next week hopefully!

cant decide if the silver cranks are ok or not.. think some black raceface would look better maybe.. will update with the full spec later..
