Stumpjumper seat tube size

Does anyone know the size of seat tube for what I think is a 94 stumpjumper its a cro mo frame not the m2 and I'm measuring it at 30.34mm which, because of the built in clamp is a bit hard to accurately size. Any help appreciated

The one I had in my hands last week had a 27.0 XC Pro post. It was a 'team' or 'pro' model I recall.

Hmmm got a 27.2 and it rattles about and also have a 30.9( from my other stumpie) an its not gonna go :?

I am sure they were 30.4. Steel Rockhoppers were too in those days.

Superb, was going to purchase a shim to reduce it to 27.2 thinking the size would be apparent but the shims come in 0.2 increments, 30.4 it is then.

My old Stumpy SS was a 30.4mm, I shimmed down to 27.2

I was always under the idea that shims were a "bad" idea, is this not really the case then? Or are we talking about garage queens here
