I have recently aquired a Giant MCR like the one shown below which i am looking to overhaul.
I am thinking about upgrading the fork to an ahead type as it currently running a 1" threaded. The difficulty I have is the headset seems to be a bit of a cobbled together/modifed arangement. Its made by YST (hp233) but features a semi integrated lower frame cup rather than the external type shown here.
Just wondered if anyone had any experience with the MCR and if it was possbile to switch the headset to allow the switch to 1" ahead.
It must be possible as I found this image of an MCR set up for TT which appears to run a different fork and a Look Ergo stem.
