Marin Suspension circa 89

Retro Newbie
I owned a marin back in about 89 that had a strange steerer mounted suspension sytem that broke 3 times in a month, which I then exchanged for a Alpine Stars ALUmega.

I think it was an eldridge grade (red fork with black "scrath resistant" paint).

Can anybody confirm what it actually was that I owned back then? I did'nt have it long enough to leave a lasting impression!

wasn't something like this was it?

Thats it, a pine mountain. God that suspension was rubbish! I was really sad to see it go cos it was such a good looking bike.

Great site, makes me feel guilty for getting rid of my proflex beast now.

Cheers mate

many people on here would love one of these, me included :( very rare beast indeed and would probably turn more heads than a proflex anyday.

Looks a bit like the AMP design, with almost the bikes original forks just bolted on

Look very flexy :?
