I've got a really cheap Cane creek you can have for postage.
I used it for two rides to make sure I wanted to go down the threadless route - I did, and bought a CK off Scant.
It's Silver, has balls in cages, a black cap, and no star nut. It was also a bit too easy to press into the frame which makes me think the cups are a little undersize, but considering it's virtually free it may be worth a try for you if you don't want to pay much.
