Hard tail vs full suss for enduro?

I'm signed up for the Merida Brass Monkeys Round 1 on Sunday, I'm racing in the 4 hour class and am wonder what to ride. I either have a 24.5lbs hardtail or a 26.5lbs full sus. Both bikes are fitted with XT and Fox 100mm suspension.

The hard tail is classic XC, flat bars & saddle in the air whilst the suss bike is a bit more upright geometry with risers. I'm wondering whether the hardtail is the one to go for as it is a lot lighter and I don't expect the course to be too technical. However the full suss bike will be more comfy as the riding position is less extreme..... hmm. :?

Well the hardtail was great for the first 3 hours, until I got tired and a fast-steering lightweight bike becomes a bit of a handful! I'm really out of shape at the mo' and a dose of man flu didn't help. Next time I'll take the full susser as it is a more forgiving ride. Still it was a good course and I had fun.
