Bikesoup.co.uk FREE ADVERTS for rb members until 17 DEC

Hi Chris,

Selling parts on Bikesoup is 'Coming soon'.

At present we are bikes only but are turning a blind eye to frames.....

Next functionality will be for frames as a lot of the programming mirrors the bikes.

The parts matrix is a huge one if you consider the myriad of bikes & parts of all ages on offer now, so will take longer to get functionality as slick.

One other stepping stone is billing mech as we get billed per transaction by the bank. No logic in us charging £3.10 to sell a bike & £1.00 to sell some used parts, so we are looking at a solution whereby you buy 10 parts / accessories ads at a time eg. £3.50 per 10 ads.

What do you think?

you could sell 'tokens' and then exchange those tokens for selling space .

3 tokens for a bike , 1.5 for a frame , forks , wheels etc, and 1 for smaller parts etc...

the more tokens we buy ,the more value you get . a bit like at a fairground .

but i am no computer genius , so no idea how difficult it would be to implement .

Hows about an open invitation to Bikesoup to pop on to this thread and tell us a bit more?

Why we should use it, why we should trust it, why he set it up, who is he, what is his interest in bikes and this site (other than solely loitering around the classifieds)? Come on Bikesoup, man up and introduce yourself, it's far easier to win new customers by using the personal touch.
