I am after a 1 1/8" aheadset - is there anything else that needs to be measured before I buy one, or are they all the same fitting?

If you're looking at a standard aheadset with press-in cups, then the headtube diameter is all you need. Thing get a bit more tricky with a threaded headet as you need to know stack height, as it might be too long if you forks have been cut down with no spacers under the locknut. Likewise, there are a handful of integrated / semi-integrated headset types - FSA website tech pages has a good guide for these. If unsure best to find the same model.
