I'm about to start on my 2nd classic build having successfully completed my first (1970's Claud Butler Electron. I'll post some pics soon)
I like the idea of building up a nice late 80's early 90's quality steel frame with a 9/10 speed Ergolever setup whilst maintaining a classic look.
The Campag Chorus chainset from this era in my opinion retains that classic look, my question is, will there be any shifting issues running it with a 9/10 speed chain.

Cheers for any suggestions

You should be able to change the chainrings if the old ones are too thick, not sure if there is any difference in the space between the chainrings though.

Have just fitted a new Sram 9 speed chain to a shimano 9 speed system fitted with standard 3/32 chainrings on a cross bike with no problems.

Cheers for the replies.
I might take the chain off my 9 speed mountain bike and see if it's ok on my Claud Butler which has 3/32 Stronglight chainrings on.
