First ride...this is going to be a learning curve

I like my road bike to look pretty. So I spend my life of the hood and the tops, never venturing down into the drops.

But then I am a bad cyclist.

Hoods are where I'm comfy ever since my first road bike which had cut down bars upside down to look like bull bars

Hoods, hooks, tops and drops are all for different situations, if you're just riding with your hands in one position you're not making the most of your bike.

Everyone knows drops are for hanging your shopping bag from...

bottle of top deck and a family pack of mars bars....

I like your style dear fellow, but mine'll be:

Tube of pringles and a few bottles of crabbies

(blatant hijack, but demonstrates the amazing functionality of the roadbike)

So let's see...

You've got your shopping hanging on the drops and your baguette across the hoods, held in place by the cables, natch. Where do you put your hands?

On the tops, but if its cold, in your pockets.
