origonal question "why do i keep buying?"

because your obsessed

like the rest of us

I think you should ride it 2 x 1 in the race next week as penance for :

A: officially having too many nice bikes.
B. that DeKerf being the right size for you.
C. Syncros forged, enough said.

here's my rebuttal:
  • a) never did the course before
    b) i've never ridden 2x1 before
    c) i'm not in the greatest of shape ATM
    d) not familiar with the bike, and the setup isn't ideal, especially iffy with the forks.
    e) i have too many nice bikes, so why ride this one?
    f) neither syncros are going on the DeKerf (at the moment)

Actually, joking apart, the fork is way too long for the bike - looks like a 100mm Rock Shox Tora from the pix. A 63mm suspension fork or the right A-C length rigid fork will make the bike fit you even better and improve the ride no end (assuming of course that it is a '96 or '97 which would have been designed for a 63mm fork).

And BTW, my fitness is at an all time low, I get out of breath running up one flight of stairs, so if you've ever wanted to see a grown man cry, the 15th may be your chance...

hmmm… maybe i'll move the wheelset, brakeset and the 2x1 setup from this to the RM Ti with an Amp F2 fork for next week. :D

what forks would i be looking at for 63mm assuming that was correct? what if i went for something around 80mm?

Did you forget your visit to the mecha-mancave already?
