I tend to go up there quite a bit as for an hour and a half journey it certainly packs more excitement than round here IMO. Purple Mountain Cafe is good too.

I tend to do a slightly shortened version of the red route - starting at visitor centre following up to Dixons Hollow but then cutting across to miss out the top loop (Adderstone and some of Jerry Noddle)which gives me a good steady 3hrs with sandwitch stop at Dixons Hollow - which is plenty enough for me - but will obviously go with what ever.

Might be able to cut transport costs again on this one if Dave is taking the pick up, we could probably all get in my car then.

Dont forget they charge you to get in (unless you tap up Gil for the 'secret' entry location).

For those that haven't been, its fooking HUGE! :shock: Theres even a little village within the forest

Yes £7.00 entry fee unfortuantely but the facilities are good.
