Ok so it is our wet season, and we a supposed to get rain.
Last night we got 243mm and more is on the way!
Two years ago, we got about 1000mm in one week (150mm a day for seven days).
Good thing I have mud gaurds on the super-commuter, not so much to keep me dry, but to stop all that crap that builds up on the road going all over me.

Looks more impressive when we get hit by a cyclone.

That's some rain.

Was there a few years ago, not even sure it was the height of the rainy season. Anyhow we had planned on heading north from Cairns. When the water started coming into the footwell of our shonky old Ford Falcon we turned round and started heading south.

I went out for a 1st ride on my new (1993) Kiluaea on Sunday morning.
It was -2c, snow was upto 2ft deep and blinkin' freezin in shorts!!!
(great ride by the way!)
This thread got me thinking though - my 1st daughter was born 1st week in April 2003. The month leading upto her birth (ie now) was massively hot.
Talking 24-28c. Now look at it!
I know which way round I would rather have it.
