Wanted: First Road bike (£300 budget)

Hello all,

I'm new to the roadbike scene and I'm now in a postion to make my first purchase. Think I'll get a much better bike for my money buying used. I would need the bike delivering as I live in the Highlands but I'm obviously willing to pay the costs. I'm 5'11" with a 32" inside leg.

Back pages of Cycling Weekly is a good place to start, although preferably chat your your local roadie club and someone is bound to have something going for that amount.

You are looking at the best time of year as all the 2010 bikes are being launched, so try some of the big shops for their clearance ranges - not sure what size you need, but CRC has some Vitus and BH ones going cheap...
