Thorn bikes are very keen on them and produce some nice tourers/all mountain bikes based around them, mate has a raven sport which is v.nice
althought he system is similar wieght to a normal system you do end up (i think) with more weight in the rear wheel, but maintenance/wearing parts is far less - also think you've got to have this gripshifter changer (no thumbies!)
be careful if retro fitting as the hub has a torque arm which mounts on the chainstay and i've heard of frames snapping from this, ideally you need a specific frame with the right mounts and dropouts
