iPod Help Required

if your car CD player plays MP3's on CD can't you just burn off most of the stuff onto CD, then you don't have to worry about power and it getting nicked etc!!

my mate had one back in 2005 or earlier , worked great in his golf ( maybe its only german cars  ) the frequency was next to radio 1 and when early morning back road thrashing mates in other cars could listen too

Yeh we did the same when we drove back from Spain a few years back (in convoy)

We could tune into a station and listen to Ipod controller DJ mixmaster choose the selection...

It was quite cool looking back lol.

nothing beats the comedy trip to teh three peaks in convoy with motorola walkie talkies.

except possibly my previous era of being a (slightly ironic) cb'er.

Next best solution would be a wired FM modulator. It actually plugs inbetween the aerial and the aerial socket on your existing stereo. Plug the iPod in, tune the radio in. Job done.

Something like this:

Alternatively, whip the CD player and fit a cheap tape deck, along with a 3.5mm headphone plug - tape adaptor.

Both methods work with reasonable success. Ultimately depends on how you feel about sound quality!
