:evil: Why didn't I stay in bed!
Overslept, porridge boiled over the dish, got fully dressed for biking with bib-shorts and bib-tights, suddenly needed to go to the loo! Went out and after half mile turned round and went back as I realised I wasn't wearing enough, started again and got 3 miles or so (on road) and chain broke on hill (thankfully I was still sitting in the saddle!) Chain so filthy I decided not to touch it so phoned Mrs Ned to come and collect me down on the main road by a chip shop. Waited and waited till guy came out of chip shop with phone, it was Mrs Ned saying she couldn't connect with my mobile - and that BOTH cars had flat batteries! Walked home 2.5 miles in road shoes.
It's my own fault. I bought a new chain last Friday and couldn't be bothered to fit it. It's fitted now - along with a good clean of everything else - and I went out again this morning and had an excellent ride
