please can someone that knows about cars help me!!!!

Hi dirtjumper as its cold outside and you dont fancy taking bits apart if you have a look at your front wheel if it looks to have rusty dust on the rim then your pads are worn out and the disc's are proberly shot aswell

If it makes a grinding rumbling sort of noise going around a corner and the brakes aren't on, check the wheel bearings too. Greab the tyre at the top and try to rock it. If there is any movement the bearing is on it's way out.

as could be the strut top bearing and lower ball joint both very prone on ford escorts ;)
but off reading the guys posts it sounds very like he has worn the pads down to metal so new discs and pads sound like the order of the day :cool:
not expensive on a escort
and if your not competent take it to someone who is
you only get 1 chance with brakes :shock:
