Can anyone tell me how old a Falcon Bike with frame serial number C66427 might be? I'm thinking 70's but would like to be more certain. It has a "Falcon Special sticker on the seatpost and a Reynolds 531 Sticker on the frame.

Welcome. Falcon frame numbers can be a bit random, pictures are often a better bet when trying to date a Falcon.

This was my Dad's bike and I believe he purchased it in 1974. It's hard for me to imagine him buying a brand new bike, hence my question about vintage. The bike is rideable but would benefit from new tires and brake pads. It's been hanging in my garage for close to 20 years.

Very nice. That 531 decal ended in 1972 ish so the era is right. Has round to round track type forks and long point lugs. No braze ons so typical Falcon lol. Doesn't ring a bell at the moment with those forks, will have a think.

The chainset and the cyclone rear mech are more modern than the frame.
