I'm looking for the above, if anybody has any in their parts bins? I took the mech apart in order to clean/repaint the cage and the screws have since vanished... :facepalm:

The bolts are about 15mm total length. I'm sure some others from similar Shimano mechs will also fit. Anything out there :?:

Have a pair off a 735rd. Thread on one a bit imperfect but it screws into the plate well enough.

The screw on the 735 is 2mm longer than the 739. 16 and 18mm.

The 2 I am sending off a 735 are 15.88mm.

I understand. We certainly didn't measure it the same way. Now I measured the screws just like you. 15.88 and 14.2.

That's the correct way now!

The 2 about to go in the post were just taken straight off an RD735.

Now posted, well in the red box at least :)

Interesting info chaps and thanks for this!

I knew there was a difference between mechs but thought Shimano would be fairly similar. As far as I can see the extra couple of mm is purely thread, so I can probably file off the difference if needs be.

I guess that means I'm sorted :D
