Blinkin hell - Youd have to rip it out from the mountings then - that would take some force I'd imagine. Wouldnt have much left of your dainty xc racer downtube if that happened....

I cracked a Ringle cage but I'm sure that that's down to shouldering the bike. Cracked radially from the forward bottle boss bolt.
2 big wahers and a steel bolt (to get it tight) and it lasted until the bike got nicked, probably still working somewhere.
