Steady on Sticky mate - I'm actually running a 1" Pace alu steerer on my Merlin! Like a chump I cut it (from new) a bit short - it suits the bike but not me. Drat.

Just 'cos I am suspicious of SOME alloy components doesn't make them all bad! Never seen a alloy steerer before and assumed that it would not be up to much. I'm sure Pace do their home work, I hope so as I have just bought a RC200!
