You will have to wait im sorry, I am very excited about this one, Just waiting for chain, tyres and a 31.2 seat post :cry: Found a shim that will use a std 27.2 for a temporary measure.
I would like to ride it by the end of the week and will post a pic in readers wives ..... I mean readers bikes when its all working

I had a 91/92 Tufftrax, dark grey metalic, pierced seatube, full DX groupset, lots of Ritchey bits, including the best tyres i've ever had, z-max. I loved that bike, i used to wash and polish it after every ride too, until some C*%T stole it :evil:
I have been looking out for one for years but haven't even found a picture of one let alone a real one!
Your Saracen looks lush by the way, and for 20 quid!

Just bought a Saracen tufftrax extreme for £20. Busy restoring.
Problem1. Just won the fight to remove original chainset to find bottom bracket full of water lucky no damage inside.
2: someone had fitted v brakes not original.
3. Has anyone ideas to remove rusted and rounded hex mudgaurd bolts someone fitted these to.
I also bought a few years back 1991 claud butler shaman complete original parts. Anyone else have one of these.
