fat-tony's Yo Eddy

fat-tony

Dirt Disciple
I finished my re-build earlier this month and posted it over at www.fatcogs.com but thought I would share it over here as well. I have wanted a Fat ever since 1990 and finally managed to get one. I have been re-building it for about a year. It rides like a dream:

It is #405Y3SM, but was purchased in 1994. Re-sprayed Team Violet. Also re-sprayed the fork. Decals on the Yo are NOS, the Rockshox Judy SL decals I had replicated. Compononets are NOS or as close to mint as I could find. It is not period correct, but close enough for my liking.

hubs: phil woods custom anodized
bottom bracket: phil woods
wheels: mavic with panaracer dart/smoke combo
8 speed sachs maillard freewheel w/ Xt thumbies utilizing ghost click
saddle: selle italia ti flite
cranks: cook bros e w/ cook bros/campy rings
pedals: shimano spd
rd & fd: XTR m900
brakes: avid tri w/ kool stops
levers: Avid ultimate
headset: chris king
stem: ringle
grips: oury
bars: answer hyperlite w/ combo bar ends
seat binder: fatchance

seatpost: syncros (not period. desperately looking for black ringle moby 29.4mm, please help)

That's a real beaut - looks like a really well thought out build. Glad you're riding it as it deserves

Which side of the pond are you on ?
