Evening all,

Has anyone any info on the Preston Bike Jumble?

A couple of friends and i are considering heading over to it but we would like some info before we book boats and accomodation etc.

Is it any good? Are there many sellers? That type of thing.

Thanks,

Richard

My home town - alas moved away many moons ago but there's two jumbles - one in Longridge which isn't actually in Preston, just the postcode and dialling code makes it Preston. I've heard a few snippets about this one and it's supposed to be decent, all indoors, decent size but I've never attended. There was another one at Preston College (may be called something else these days) and that one is a little more generic. Sorry I can't advise any further.

However if you do go, take a bike and get accommodation north of the city and you can ride upto Beacon Fell http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Beacon_Fell,_Lancashire , post ride refreshment in The Green Man in Inglewhite http://www.qype.co.uk/place/2156317-THE ... NN-Preston or head over for flatter rides around St.Michaels - it's all good riding round these areas.

Ok, thanks for that. We would want to go to something good as it is going to cost quite a bit to get there - boats, accommodation and beer perhaps.
