Official recommended or not paint-shop thread.

I'll add them to the naughty boys corner but do you want me to add them to the recommended list too frank? I'm happy to and then people can read the thread and make their own mind up.

I think on balance they should remain in the doghouse. The purpose of the thread is to inform people where they can get good service, and it is no good recommending a company who can do a good job but apparently are reluctant to fix problems when they arise.I know the angst I felt when it happened to me.

+1 more for Armourtex - nice bunch and they turned my frame around inside a week. £90 for a sparkle finish including several headset spacers and a set of pedal bodies. They also masked off every one of the dozen or so threads on my frame ranging from brake boss threads to chain suck plate threads.

Sorry to be a pain, but do you have some more pics of this frame as I was thinking of using Armourtex myself.

Cheers,
Andrew

Found a local powder coater that has done a brilliant job on my latest project. They also do shot blasting! Quoted me £45 to strip and powdercoat a frame. They appear to do many bike frames, I saw three whilst I was there. They did a great job of masking up that needed minimal finishing off.
