Numb hands while riding.

Probably stating the obvious, but just an observation that's worth mentioning. I'm surprised at the number of riders (MTB) that ride with brake levers set straight out from the bars, causing the wrist to be bent at quite an angle. Presumably you have tried setting the brake levers so that your wrists are not bent. Over time I have rotated the levers more and more - they markedly point down towards the road now.

Seen those fingerless gloves with pads, maybe worth a punt.

Rob dude, never really thought about that, will have a look, I think they must be comfortable.

I have carpel tunnel in both hands and last time I rode a bike after a few hundred meters they were very painfull and going numb and tingling. This is usual carpel tunnel symptoms.
I found that changing to some cheap halfords bars with a much greater angle helped and the next day I rode 16 miles with no pain at all.

I've never tried the Ergo grips but might consider it.

Did you go to the doctors out of interest?
