Rocky Mountain Experts Assemble Please

They're all different, cantis/U's etc.
They're generally custom builds (Wedge/Thunderbolts)
U-brakes were still in use in 1991 on the thunderbolt in the catalogues and so where the forks, I think more rare with the U-brake option.
Hence not going to be easy to work out from these pictures.

I don't think the lower models used these odd setups though.

There are a few on here from around this time who might recognise it. Try DeeEight

just received an email from the fellow who bought this beauty.
he's a member here and will be showing it to us hopefully in the very near future.
bet he wants to tidy it up a bit before the unveil.

i've seen the original ad, pointed out by a fellow RB user here. I would say that's a Wedge.

Extended seattubes were found on wedges, thunderbolts, blizzard/glaciers, and a host of other models in the early 90s. Basically anything using Tange Prestige Concept for the seattube could end up with that. Smooth joints means fillet brazed by Derek Bailey so that eliminates the Blizzard/Glacier (Glaciers were european model Blizzards, I've only ever seen a handful in canada) which were Tig welded. There was also models like the Expert which had the raised seattube but I don't recall the joint method for the frames.
