What component from BITD do you miss the most?

Firstly, about xc rims....what's wrong with Mavic xc717s? Or even 317s?

Now to favourite component....tricky but I've got two.
American classic skewers - simple, light, unique slightly quirky design.
Royce Bottom bracket - light, well engineered, shiny, TITANIUM.

It could be that:

1. I'm out of touch with modern components/equipment or
2. Maybe its living in the shadow of the "Shore" and these parts aren't stocked locally or
3. I'm on such a tight buget that the only wheels I can afford are Rhynolights with Deore hubs.

Mavic SUP CD rims (231,217,121,521)... I suppose disc brakes have rendered high end rim-brake hoops obsolete though.

Simple, straight tube steel frames that aren't for 'all mountain' or a bazillion dollars; even Ritchey had to put curvy bits on the P-Team 26.. FFS!

again Gloves - specialized mits with towelling right across the back - do modern cyclists sweat and snot less than they used to? A thumb sized patch of towelling is not enough for me.

Probably suntour/wtb greaseguard components. They made it so easy to maintain your bike, especially in muddy, wet conditions.Just start pumping the grease gun and watch the crud flush out of headsets, pedals, bottom bracket and hubs.

A lot of the modern suspension bikes could do with this technology for the pivots, rather than routine replacement.
