I reckon Elton has well and truly moved on.

Sayle was talking about her on CH4 earlier, didn't catch it all but he pointed out he didn't really use her much in his material, as it was too easy.

I would agree with that, from my sketchy memory.

1997 was really the end of the whole Thatcher thing for me, when Major was kicked out and everything was new, it seemed a new era of hope.

It was no ordinary election win.

While she was certainly very much the leader of her government, it was not only her.

They were a team, and she may have suffered from too many sycophants around her.

Either way, it is all over now.

My thoughts are with her family, as well as the families of all those in South Africa, the mining communities and everywhere else her rule left a trail of death and disaster.

I believe she's only been in hell for half a day and she's already shut three furnaces!

May she Rot In Pieces :D

And all the commie comedians and singers that put her and the capitalist system down seem to have done alright. Have you seen the size of Billy Braggs house? No socialist like a wealthy one, eh?

And Alexei Sayle is on Facebook cracking timely Thatcher one liners. 25 year behind Ben Elton, but moving fast.

Socialism, a system where good sand commodities are created directly for use rather than for sale and private nprofit, and not the accumulation of private capital.

So by his very act of decrying capitalism Bragg has become a capitalist, with the big house, big BMW, and big bank balance.

Now, perhaps you can explain how he can be a capitalist AND a socialist at the same time?
