I'm after a road bike, preferably something with a modern groupset, or even a nice fixed gear. What have you guys got?

When you say modern group set do you me STI ( handlebar combined gear and brake ) shifters?
Steel or aluminium frame set? Thanks

Yes preferably STI, or ergopower. No preferences for frame material as long as its reasonably light.

Well any good quality steel bike will be around 10-11 kg depending on components, an alloy frame with same components about 1kg less.
Is this any good? it's 57 though, Bianchi with Campagnolo Mirage, probably a bit more than 300 once I've fettled it.

Looks nice, what are the other specs (Wheels, tubing?) and what work does it need doing - I dont mind having a bit of a project.
I think Warwickshire could be a bit too far for me to drive to pick it up though.

I've got two 56 cm (ctt) bikes:
a red Bianchi, with Campagnolo ergopower shifters and derailleurs, tektro brakes, Ofmega Crankset and rigida rims, 325 euro
and
a Concorde Alura, doesn't have ergopower or STI shifters but is so nice I'd like to present to you. Dura Ace build up (except: hubs, shimano 600, Campagnolo downtubeshifters and seatpost) This beauty from 1988 is super lightweight (9kg), 390 euro
Price mentioned is price postage included
